Enhance UBC's information security as the Associate Director of Cybersecurity Governance. Oversee compliance strategies and manage risk assessment initiatives across the institution. You’ll lead a diverse team in providing risk advisory services, developing institutional responses to technology risks, and maintaining a robust risk register. This position is essential for safeguarding UBC's information assets. Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive strategies for managing cybersecurity risks
Direct privacy impact assessments and compliance initiatives




Enhance governance processes in collaboration with academic units
Advise leadership on emerging technology risks
Mentor staff in best practices for risk management Requirements:
Master's level education in relevant discipline
Minimum eleven years of qualified experience
Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks
In-depth understanding of IT compliance regulations
Effective leadership and communication capabilities Shape the future of cybersecurity governance at UBC, emphasizing compliance and risk management to protect university data.
