Role Description The Senior Purchaser Supervisor is a full time, on-site role based in Boucherville, QC. This role oversees purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to support production and engineering projects.

The Senior Purchaser

Supervisor leads a purchasing team, sets priorities, monitors performance, and ensures adherence to company policies and cost targets. Daily responsibilities include analyzing procurement needs, reviewing purchase orders, coordinating with engineering, operations, and finance, and resolving supply issues. The role also involves improving procurement processes,



supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, and contributing to long-term supplier and cost optimization.

Qualifications

Strong experience in procurement, purchasing supervision, and supplier management in a manufacturing or engineering setting

Skills in contract negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor performance evaluation

Ability to lead and mentor a purchasing team, prioritize workloads, and manage deadlines

Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems and solid skills in Excel and other office tools

Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment in decision-making

Relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, business, operations management, or a related field

Experience in the transit, transportation, or industrial equipment sector is an asset
