You will play a crucial role in providing information and resources aimed at combatting HIV and HCV transmission. This position is ideal for someone with a social service diploma and a solid foundation in harm reduction practices, as you will engage with community members and service partners while promoting access to health and social support services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Distribute harm reduction supplies and health info to vulnerable groups
• Conduct Point of Care Testing (POCT) when necessary
• Advocate for inclusive health spaces and practices
• Connect individuals to relevant support services
• Travel across Central Vancouver Island for outreach
Requirements:
• Diploma in social services or equivalent experience
• First Aid & CPR certification
• Familiarity with harm reduction philosophy
• Team-oriented team player with communication skills
• Able to lift small weights as required
