Build your future with Kraken Robotics as a Level 2 Firmware Engineer. Focus on firmware for our KATFISH™ underwater systems, based in Mount Pearl, NL or Dartmouth, NS, with remote options.

In this role, you'll be integral to the Firmware team, enhancing our intelligent underwater technology for applications like mine detection and hydrographic surveying. Your skills in C++, system architecture, and debugging will contribute to the development of reliable and high-performance firmware solutions.

Collaborate closely with engineers from various disciplines to deliver top-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop low-level firmware for Kraken’s creative products
Write effective, reliable C++ and C code for constrained environments




Partner with engineering teams to validate embedded features
Document firmware and system components with high quality
Create unit tests and support automated testing processes

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with ARM Cortex-M or similar embedded systems
Proficiency in writing maintainable firmware
Familiarity with driver implementation for various hardware peripherals
Solid understanding of CMake and version control systems
