Responsibilities Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work autonomously in a rapid-paced workplace. The traffic coordinator creates successful relationships with carriers, shipping personnel, customer service, and all other company employees. Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and/or internationally would be considered an asset.
Negotiate freight rates with partner carriers;
Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Consignees;
Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments;
Work with Sales and Customer Service on logistics-related tasks;
Prepare freight-related reports as requested by Management
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight / Traffic;
Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook);
Some knowledge of Customs formalities;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Problem-solving and multitasking ability;
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of priority.
