Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Markham, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Experience: 7+ Years

Required Skills
Robust backend development experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS
Experience with MongoDB Atlas, schema design, JSON Schema validation, and Atlas CLI
Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using AWS MSK (Kafka) and Amazon EventBridge
API-first development using REST and AsyncAPI
Authentication using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
AWS services including ECS, Lambda, MSK, EventBridge, and S3
Solid knowledge of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
Experience building production-ready applications with logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting
Proficient in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) with the ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code




Robust communication and documentation skills with experience writing clear technical specifications

Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
