· Assisting Plant Equipment Master Mechanic in daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance.
· Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and tools
· Inspect and report deficiencies related to crane inspections
· Small equipment, hand tool and electrical cord basic repairs
· Assist Production Manager with turnover of molding equipment
· Standard crane lifts and movements, such as easy hook, bridles and bale applications, after in-service training (no spreader bars, lifting beams, or lifting clutches). Recognize lifting tasks as being within or beyond approved capabilities
· Instructed pre-welding duties. Set up work areas. Tack and stitch welding
· Cut and prepare steel for welding
· Understand and follow company quality, safety, and administrative processes
· Any other tasks as determined by Maintenance Manager
Abilities, Qualifications and Merit:
· Must have tack and stitch welding experience
· Must have basic electrical knowledge
· Must have an basic knowledge with metal working procedures
· Ability to follow instructions, and complete tasks
· Ability to give and accept constructive feedback
· Solid safety mindset and conduct
· Positive work attitude
· Dependable and reliable
· Functional in understanding spoken English and in reading and speaking English
· Ability to lift and carry 45kg
· Physical abilities and endurance including balancing/climbing molds and ladders, kneeling/bending, manual dexterity and overall strength
