Position Type: Temporary, project-based / job-to-job
Pay Range: $45–$55 per hour, based on experience and additional qualifications
Tatras Industrial is building its 2026 Field Roster for industrial rope access projects throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and select locations in Western Canada.
We are seeking experienced IRATA Level 3 Supervisors for temporary, project-based field work. Assignments are offered job-to-job based on project demand, availability, qualifications, experience, and client or site requirements. Continuous work between projects is not guaranteed.
Position
IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor
Typical Responsibilities
Supervise industrial rope access crews and work activities
Plan and manage rope access systems, rigging and work positioning
Complete site-specific rope access and rescue planning
Conduct pre-work briefings and verify worker competency
Ensure work complies with IRATA requirements, company procedures and site rules
Coordinate rope access activities with clients, trades and project management
Oversee inspections, maintenance, repair and access-support work
Maintain rescue readiness and lead emergency response when required
Complete rope access documentation, equipment checks and daily records
Monitor changing site conditions and stop work when necessary
Required Qualifications and Attributes
Current IRATA Level 3 certification
First aid certification
Solid knowledge of IRATA procedures, supervision and rescue requirements
Demonstrated experience supervising rope access crews
Solid safety leadership and professional conduct
Ability to plan secure and practical access systems
Ability to communicate clearly with workers, clients and site representatives
Strong documentation and field-level planning skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a larger project team
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Reliable transportation to Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley sites
Legal ability to work in Canada
Preferred Experience
Industrial rope access supervision
Shutdowns, maintenance projects or large-scale industrial work
Complex rigging, rescue planning or difficult-access projects
Confined space, rescue, welding, inspection, NDT or trade-related experience
Experience working on client-controlled or high-hazard industrial sites
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
