Job Summary:

This non supervisory position reporting to the shift supervisor is responsible for maintaining operation of plastic injection molding equipment and for inspecting, packing and reporting production.

Duties:

Receives and complies with instruction writt en and verbal.

Monitors continuous operating machines.

Checks product at start up for colour and visual exactness to specifications in accordance with Q.C. guidelines(one shot every 2 hours).

Assembles boxes, fi lls boxes with product (according to inspecti on standards), tapes and date stamps.

Check labels for correct work order number to production order.

Checks T/E products one shot every 2 hours for tear band breakage.

Loads packed boxes onto skid.

Completes daily producti on report.

Takes shots (samples) for Q.C.

Reports any oil or water leaks or other problems to supervisor or technician.

Grinds rejected products with approval from supervisor as necessary.

Keeps machine and work area clean and explicit of parts and debris.

Remains at workplace operating machines until relieved to maintain continuous operations.

Communicates changes/problems as appropriate to shift supervisor





Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervision/management from time to time.

Maintains workplace in a neat orderly manner.

Follows all plant rules and regulations.

Works in a safe manner using all prescribed safety equipment and devices and eliminates and/or reports all safety hazards that may occur.

Ensures that all requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Company's Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed by yourself and those you supervise or direct.

Experience:

The Starting Requirements to Qualify for this Position are (Experience/Education/Training):

High school diploma

Good written and oral communicati on skills

3 to 6 months industrial experience preferred The Candidate Shall Acquire (Experience/Education):

Skills in production reporting (basic math)

Operator skills in daily quality and production

Hands on training with Operator/Inspector 2 and successful completion of evaluation
