Overview

The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join our vibrant and growing community practice, aligned with a current MRI service and the expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest growing communities in British Columbia, featuring beautiful natural surroundings, diverse population, and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, consisting of 157 acute care beds and receiving over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually.

Responsibilities

Time required: Negotiable. Call responsibilities are split amongst group members. Daily duties include radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and a variety of image‑guided procedures. Equipment currently consists of two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed‑fluoroscopy C‑arm unit, a GE portable ultrasound unit, four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units, a current GE 64‑slice CT scanner, and a current,



state‑of‑the‑art 1.5T GE MRI unit that entered clinical service in Fall 2020. The department is proud to be one of two early adoption sites for GE’s AIR Recon Deep Learning image reconstruction software.

Qualifications

The group emphasizes evidence‑based practice, quality, strong communication, a collegial work environment, and scheduling flexibility. Successful candidates will be comfortable with general radiography and ultrasound, breast imaging, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as basic interventional procedures. Eligibility for licensure by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia is required. Fellowship in an area of interest, particularly MRI or neuroimaging, would be an asset.
