:

Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Pipe Layers supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Edmonton area.

Responsibilities:
Work with Excavator Operator to cut grade
Installation of graded pipe, manholes, catch basins and any other associated structures
Installation of pressurized pipe and associated fittings including valves, tees, bends, and hydrants
Service pipe installation
Monitor and ensure backfill of installed pipe
Expose existing utilities
Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision
Maintain effective communication with supervisors and crew members
Work collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the water and sewer industry
Minimum 18 years of age




Reliable transportation to and from site
Ability to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to Saturday
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset
Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction setting
