Join Eleonore Mine in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec as a Rock Mechanics Specialist. Focus on rock stability, hazard communication, and underground safety measures. This position reports to the Superintendent Rock Mechanics, aiming to maintain protected operational standards through rigorous inspections and geotechnical data collection. You'll play a key role in analyzing seismic risks and developing innovative solutions within a complex mining environment. Key Responsibilities:
Perform underground safety inspections regularly
Develop and manage geotechnical monitoring programs
Analyze and report on geotechnical hazards
Coordinate with Geology for data collection effectiveness
Lead QA/QC assessments for ground support systems Requirements:
BSc in geological or mining engineering, geotechnical specialty preferred
Fluent in both French and English
Experience with DIPS and PHASE2 software
Solid analytical and organizational capabilities
