Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care in Long-term care . This role involves assisting licensed physiotherapists in delivering treatment plans, preparing patients for therapy sessions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable workplace. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology, experience in long-term care settings, and a passion for helping seniors recover and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and therapy sessions
Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
Support patients during exercises and mobility activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist




Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes
Educate patients on home exercises and post-treatment care instructions
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Requirements
Prior experience in long-term care settings is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and team members
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Certification or training related to physiotherapy assistance is advantageous
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
