As a Security Operations Analyst, your hands-on SOC experience will directly shape how AI detects, investigates, and responds to threats — making enterprise security AI smarter and more aligned with how analysts actually work. Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigation workflows — to assess what's happening and why it matters
Review and evaluate AI-generated detection logic and investigation outputs for accuracy and real-world alignment
Validate AI responses against how experienced analysts actually triage and respond to threats
Distinguish genuine security signals from noise and false positives to help AI learn the difference
Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model quality Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and end-to-end investigation workflows
Solid ability to separate true positives from false positives and articulate your reasoning clearly
Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to analysis
Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
No prior AI experience required — your security expertise is what matters Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, SOAR platforms, or detection engineering
Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK; or NIST
