We are seeking permanent part-time Dog Handlers/ Kennel Assistants to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility, along with their exercise, training, feeding and general facility cleaning.

We have part-time evening and weekend shifts available. Weekend shifts are 7 am to 1 pm OR 3 pm to 9:30 pm. Weekday shifts are from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

All staff members must have a reliable method of transportation as public transit is not available in our area.

Responsibilities
Exercising the dogs both mentally and physically, including structured daily walks, group/pack activities, treadmill sessions, basic grooming, obedience, and individual attention.
Confidently walking dogs using a variety of training tools.
Supervising dogs.
Feeding as per owner instructions.
Maintaining client relations through detailed and friendly check ins/outs.
Taking daily pictures of the dogs and uploading them to our private staff page.
Cleaning of the facilities, kennel units and exercise areas.

Qualifications
Previous experience in animal care is an asset




Passion for animal care and a desire to learn new dog care and training skills
Ability to confidently interact with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, ages and sizes
Ability to work in a quick-paced, high-pressure setting
Ability to perform all job duties to a high standard in a safe and responsible manner
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to be on one's feet and walking for several hours in a day
Ability to lift dogs and items of up to 50 lbs
