Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associates to join our team for our St. John's locations (downtown and Signal Hill). As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our stores, ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience. Your passion for customer service and love for local will shine through as you assist visitors in finding the perfect gifts to bring home.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet and engage customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing items, providing information about products and their makers
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment
Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and manage daily sales reports
Restock shelves, manage inventory, and ensure product displays are attractive




Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism

Requirements:
Previous retail experience is preferred
Robust interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service
Knowledge of local heritage and history is a plus
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
Proficiency in English
French or second language is a plus

The Heritage Shop is a social enterprise run by the Historic Sites Association of NL. HSA is a local non-profit organization that helps make heritage happen by investing, along with Parks Canada and other partners, in nationally significant heritage projects that benefit local communities and the visitor’s experience. Since 1981, HSA has provided more than $3 million in financial support to Newfoundland's National Historic Sites! Job Type: Part time
