KP Metals Canada is looking for a reliable and hardworking Scrap Metal Yard Assistant / Driver to join our team. This role involves collecting, sorting, loading, and transporting scrap metal. The ideal candidate is physically fit, dependable, and enjoys hands-on work.

Responsibilities
Drive the company vehicle to pick up and deliver scrap metal.
Load and unload scrap metal safely.
Lift and move heavy metal materials.
Sort and separate different types of scrap metals.
Assist with loading containers for export.
Keep the yard clean, organized, and protected.
Inspect and secure loads before transportation.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Communicate professionally with customers during pickups and Dropoffs.
Perform general labour and yard duties as required.

Requirements




Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs+).
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of hand tools is an asset.
Forklift operator certification and experience is an asset but not required.
Experience in scrap metal, construction, demolition, warehouse, or general labour is an asset but not required.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
