The Scala Spark Developer

Toronto, ON M5J 2N7, Canada (4 days onsite)

Duration: 1 year

Reason for request/why opened: Backfill

Years of Overall Experience: 5 to 10 years experience would be ideal.

The Scala Spark Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing solutions to support Liquidity MRA reporting, analytics, and data quality controls.

Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, unit test and optimize data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
Implement transformations, aggregations, and calculations required for liquidity reporting.
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of large-scale data processing jobs.
Integrate data from multiple source systems (e.g., transactional, risk, financial data).
Apply data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms.
Support deployment, code reviews,



and production issue resolution.
Adhere to client's SDLC enterprise development standards, security, and governance policies.

MUST-HAVE Hard Skills: Scala Spark developer experience – at least 5 years
