This full-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with women and gender-diverse individuals at the East York Women’s Shelter. Your expertise in nutrition and culturally diverse food preparation will be vital in meeting the dietary needs of program participants. You will facilitate discussions on food and cook meals that promote health and well-being while ensuring compliance with health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with program participants to assess food needs
• Facilitate workshops on nutrition and budget cooking
• Prepare weekend meal plans for diverse diets
• Maintain stocked kitchen and manage supplies
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards
Requirements:
• College education in nutrition or public health
• Food Handlers Certificate required
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Experience with culturally diverse meal preparation
• Robust problem-solving and communication skills
