Director of Curriculum and InstructionEnya LearningJoin to apply for the Director of Curriculum and Instruction role at Enya Learning. This range is provided by Enya Learning. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeCA$70,000.00/yr – CA$80,000.00/yrOur MissionAt Enya, we are building the education this country should have had from the beginning: one which addresses the needs of each and every person, honours their traditions, and accommodates their needs instead of the other way around. Shaped by our lived experiences, our team is turning this understanding into technology that uplifts the children the education system has overlooked. With the launch of our first school district partnership, we need someone to help us define what learning at Enya actually means. The RoleThis is a foundational leadership hire. You'll own our pedagogical vision as we expand across North America. You're not inheriting a playbook. You'll be writing it: building a team of educators, connecting research to product, and proving that "personalized adaptive learning" can be more than marketing speak. This role pays $70,000 - $80,000 base + equity. You'll report directly to the CEO as a founding member of leadership. What You'll DoShape the Science of LearningBuild the Foundation:You'll articulate our core educational philosophy (personalized, responsive and adaptive learning) and make sure everything we build stems from it.Prove It Works:Design experiments that demonstrate our model works.

Apply real learning science to what we're doing and help establish Enya as a credible voice in this space.Bridge the Gap:Work closely with engineering to turn complex learning science into software that actually scales.Lead District Growth:Chart the path to bring Enya to school districts across the US and Canada. You'll need to navigate different curriculum standards across 7+ provinces and states.Manage Localization:Oversee the process so our resources work everywhere we go, respecting local contexts.Travel for Key Moments:Mostly remote, but show up when it matters - like in-person onboarding with new district partners.Build the TeamRecruit and Lead:Hire, train, and manage a distributed network of educators (volunteers and full-time staff). You'll be building this engine from the ground up.Foster Culture:Create an environment where educators feel supported and connected to the mission, even when they're scattered across geographies.Ensure Consistency:Make sure quality stays consistent no matter where people are working from. What You BringMust-HavesClassroom DNA:You've taught. Not just studied teaching, but actually stood in front of students and figured out what works. That experience matters here.Research Fluency:You can read pedagogical research and turn it into something practical. You understand that learning models need to bend when they become software.Technical Comfort:You don't need to code, but you need to be able to talk with engineers without everything getting lost in translation.Startup Mindset:You're okay with ambiguity. You'd rather build than execute someone else's plan.

You can move fast with a scrappy team.Bonus PointsPublished research in personalized learning or education science.Connections across school districts in Canada or the US.EdTech startup experience. You've worked inside a school district, education ministry, or government education body and know how those systems actually function. Why You'll Love This RoleReal Impact:Your decisions will shape how thousands of students learn. You're not joining something that's already built.Mission Alignment:You'll work with people who actually care about equity and serving kids the system has failed.Research Meets Reality:You get to prove that evidence-based learning can scale beyond theory.Flexibility:Remote-first. Work from anywhere in the US or Canada.Ownership:Early-stage equity in a company at the beginning, with a team that wants to build something that matters. Why This Might Not Be a FitYou need structure. We're pre-seed. If you need transparent processes to do your best work, this will be frustrating. We're still inventing most of what we do.You prefer executing over building. This isn't about running an existing program. It's about creating one from scratch, often without a clear roadmap.Compensation & LogisticsBase Salary:$70,000 to $80,000 CAD (flexible for the right candidate).Equity:Stock options with standard vesting. For exceptional candidates, an additional equity grant is available.Location:Remote (US or Canada), occasional travel for district onboarding.Ready to Build the Future of Learning? If you've spent your career teaching and believing education can be better, this is your chance to prove it at scale.Apply now.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducation#J-18808-Ljbffr
