The Family Time Support Worker assists marginalized families, including First Nations and refugee families, by facilitating meaningful family interactions. Focusing on building parenting skills, you will provide hands-on guidance in child development and positive discipline practices. This fulfilling position encompasses transportation duties and collaboration with families in a secure, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support family time between children and parents
• Model and teach essential parenting skills
• Transport children as necessary for family interactions
• Complete formal documentation of family time
• Participate in training sessions and meetings
Requirements:
• Human Services diploma or degree required
• Experience with Child & Family Services is a plus
• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural practices
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Valid driver’s license and 5-year driver abstract
