Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional administrative support and assisting with patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.

Duties
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and qualified manner.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Accuro
Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
Handle incoming calls using phone systems, addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary.
Ensure the office setting is organized and welcoming for patients.




Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Handling the referrals to/from different medical offices/labs

Experience
minimum 1 year experience working at a medical office in similar role is required
Proficiency in EMR (Accuro) is required
Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures related to healthcare.
Certification and Experience in Phlebotomy is a plus.
Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems.
