Steamworks North Shore is looking for a Restaurant Prep Cooks to join our kitchen team. This unique opportunity involves making amazing dishes in a fast pace and high quality restaurant. We are looking for a energetic kitchen team members that will facilitate a fun, organized, spotless kitchen that produces amazing food.
The Restaurant
Team members must have a great positive attitude to work with both Front of house and Kitchen Team members to ensure our guests have the best possible experience every time they visit us.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepping in house made items and portioning items
Make sure all prep items are executed correctly
Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
Strong food knowledge and education
May be required to help with inventory, counts and ordering
Aid the kitchen with being held to the highest health and sanitation standards at all times
Education and Experience Required
Food Secure Certification
Experience in a kitchen
First Aid Level 1 (an asset)
Other Required Skills
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure workplace
Ability to be self-directed and solve problems
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate in English both orally and written
