Kennel Assistant

Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and visitors
Assist with the daily care and maintenance of the kennel facility
Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor
Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member
Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
Assist with basic training exercises for dogs
Maintain accurate records of animal care and activities

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
Robust communication skills and ability to interact with pet owners in a skilled manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively




Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, including lifting bags of pet food or moving larger animals
