Installation Technician – Portable Fabric Buildings (outside work summer and winter)
We are seeking an Installation Technician to primarily install portable fabric shelters. Depending on project scope, this role may also involve repairing, maintaining, dismantling portable fabric buildings and repairs.
This position requires travel to various job sites in Edmonton and the surrounding area, as well as Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, to install a variety of shelter styles and sizes.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with portable fabric buildings, solid mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work at heights for extended periods. You must be comfortable working outdoors year-round, including winter conditions. Safety certifications are considered a solid asset. The ideal candidate is a solid communicator, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in completing work efficiently and correctly.
Responsibilities
Travel to local and non-local job sites
Install, maintain, and dismantle portable fabric buildings
Maintain tools and equipment
Set up and secure work sites; clean up upon project completion
Maintain the work vehicle
Perform general labour on job sites, as well as in the shop and yard
Requirements
Experience installing portable fabric buildings
Valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s license

Excellent communication skills
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to crouch, kneel, and work at heights for extended periods
Ability to lift heavy objects
Ability to read plans and solve problems on site
English speaking
