This is a hands-on role for someone who likes physical work, takes pride in getting things done properly, and is comfortable working in an active yard workplace year-round. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day flow of the shop and assisting with a wide range of tasks including loading and unloading trucks, prep work, clean-up, material handling, and general shop support.

Key Responsibilities
Pull and prepare material to load trucks multiple times per day
Assist with walk-in customers
Safely operate overhead cranes to load machines and move material
Operate a forklift for material handling and storage
Locate, retrieve, rack, and organize raw material and off-cuts
Prime material in yard/shop as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Support general production and material handling needs as required

Qualifications




Ability to accurately measure and work in imperial units (feet, inches, fractions)
Experience in a steel service centre or manufacturing environment is a robust asset
Comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment around heavy material and machinery
Ability to read work orders
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Must be able to lift 50+lbs

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
