Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare patients for treatment by taking medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly
Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use, maintaining strict infection control protocols
Take and develop dental radiographs, utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when necessary
Manage patient records efficiently using dental software ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Support pediatric patients with gentle care and patience, creating a welcoming workplace for children receiving dental care





Skills
Proven experience with dental assisting procedures and knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
Familiarity with dental practice management software for scheduling and record-keeping
Experience working with orthodontic patients and supporting orthodontic procedures
Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization techniques in a dental setting
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed
Knowledge of CAD technology used in digital dentistry applications
Ability to multitask efficiently as both a clinical assistant and front desk support, including handling some basic dental receptionist duties
