Guidewire Digital Developer (Jutro) – Greater Toronto Area, Hybrid

We're working with a growing insurance technology team in the Greater Toronto Area on a new Guidewire Digital Developer opportunity, focused on Jutro front end delivery.

This is a chance to shape the next generation of digital experiences on the Guidewire platform, working closely with backend Guidewire teams, architects and business stakeholders to bring contemporary, responsive UI to life across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.

What you'll be doing:
Designing and building UI components in Guidewire Jutro, following platform best practice
Connecting Jutro applications to Guidewire APIs across the InsuranceSuite
Working alongside UX, backend developers and architects in an agile delivery model
Getting involved in sprint planning, code review, testing and release
Diagnosing UI issues and tuning performance across browsers and devices
Supporting upgrade and transformation work on the Guidewire platform




Writing up technical documentation as the build progresses

What we're looking for:
4+ years in software development, including exposure to Guidewire Digital
Practical experience with the Jutro Framework
Robust JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
Comfortable integrating front end apps with RESTful APIs
Some familiarity with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter
Used to working in Agile/Scrum teams
Good communicator, solid problem solver

Useful to have:
React or another up-to-date JS framework
Guidewire or Jutro certification
P&C; insurance background
CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
An eye for accessibility and performance
