T & A Rock Works Inc. has been established since 1979 and is based out of Kelowna, BC. T & A specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, rockfall mitigation, shotcrete & shoring as well as non-explosive rock removal.

The company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience in a support role for surface drilling and blasting operations, works well under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a safe job site at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate Volvo EC380EL excavator c/w a Rammer 4099E rock hammer
Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools
Ensure that work areas are free of debris and are clean enough to conform to safety standards. Ensure cabs are free of garbage and personal effects after every shift.
Follow all company policies and procedures
Position will require labour to assist all crews.




You will be expected to be on time and be prepared for work with appropriate PPE.
Maintain equipment and complete daily logs
Read and interpret layouts for residential projects
Work in varying terrain and weather conditions

Requirements:
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
Minimum 5 years of experience
Strong knowledge of residential construction
Physically fit and able to work in remote and rugged locations
