Join a forward-thinking university’s legal team as a Legal Advisor focusing on corporate and commercial law. Engage in various legal activities, emphasizing contracts and institutional collaborations. As part of the University’s legal office, you will report to the Executive Director & Counsel.
Your role involves providing comprehensive legal advice while advising on complex issues, risk management, and legal research. Your proactive approach will ensure the University's legal requirements are effectively met and negotiated. Key Responsibilities:
Advise on legal exposures and relevant regulations
Negotiate contracts and manage legal compliance
Conduct legal and reputational risk assessments
Assist in funding agreements and collaborations
Provide legal instruction to University stakeholders
Requirements:
Juris Doctor or LL.B. and Law Society membership
At least 5 years of experience in legal practice
Knowledge of intellectual property and privacy law
In-house experience is an asset
Robust communication and organizational skills
