In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing essential underground equipment including drills, compressors, and small tools. Your technical expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues while adhering to stringent safety regulations. The position also involves mentoring less experienced team members to foster growth in safety and skills across the operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the work order system




• Conduct testing and adjust equipment for peak performance
• Identify unsafe conditions and maintain a safe work area
• Provide training to current mechanics and apprentices
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of underground mechanical experience
• Preferred Journeyman status or trade equivalent
• Familiarity with relevant diagnostic tools and software
• Basic math and literacy skills required
• Comprehension of WHMIS and safety regulations mandatory
