You’ll be responsible for engineering analysis, detailed mechanical design, and ensuring designs stand up not only on paper, but on the shop floor. You’ll also review the work of others and provide guidance within a collaborative engineering team.What You’ll Be Responsible ForManaging technical projects from concept to productionPerforming engineering calculations, layouts, stress analysis, and detailed designMaintaining and improving existing products with a focus on cost, safety, and performanceProducing and reviewing detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorksCreating and maintaining bills of materials and complete design documentationReviewing and verifying work completed by other engineers and junior team membersProviding technical support to internal teams, suppliers,



and customers as neededWhat You Need to Bring to the TableEngineering degree and activeP.Eng designation(OR you are almost there)7+ years of progressive engineering design experience in avon precision-focused manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical design background, including materials selection and stress analysisExperience with power transmission/distribution hardware or similarly engineered mechanical productsPractical knowledge of manufacturing processes such as forging, stamping, machining, welding, heat treatment, and finishing (exposure is sufficient; mastery of all isnot required)The ability to clearly explain design decisions and review others’ work constructivelyTeam & Work StylePart of a small, experienced product/design engineering teamRegular interaction with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, planning, and salesOccasional customer and supplier interaction램Supportive, relational management style — guidance is available, but micromanagement is notWho This Role Is Not ForEngineers whose experience is largely theoretical, Academic, or limited to documentationCandidates who rely on a P.Eng title without deep, practical design and manufacturing experienceEngineers seeking a purely conceptual, office-only, or narrowly defined roleIndividuals uncomfortable taking ownership,
