Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the Head Chef
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Monitor food quality and freshness, rotating stock as necessary
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and effective workflow
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Closing down the kitchen line at the end of the night according to UNA standards
Skills:
Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service setting
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques,
and kitchen equipment operation
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work well under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
