Role Description The Electrician role at Jemtech is a full time, on-site position based in Waterloo, ON. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, following all applicable codes and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, running wiring and conduits, installing fixtures and panels, and performing routine inspections.

The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions to restore protected and reliable operation.



The Electrician will collaborate with team members, communicate with clients about work performed, and complete accurate documentation of materials, labor, and service records.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe electrical practices.

Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and system upgrades.

Skills in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, components, and equipment.

Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and diagnosing faults efficiently.

Background in electrical engineering concepts or relevant technical training.

Valid electrician license or certification for Ontario, and familiarity with local electrical codes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Solid attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

Physical ability to perform on-site work, including standing, lifting, and working in various environments.
