Enhance governance processes with the Council of the Haida Nation as a full time Governance Manager in Skidegate or Masset. This role requires excellent leadership and coordination skills to uphold the Nation’s sovereignty. As the Governance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, manage department budgets, and prepare essential documents that aid governance.

Your collaboration with leadership and committees is vital to ensure policies align with Haida values and contribute to community well-being. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Governance team operations and prioritize tasks
Manage Governance department budgets and assist with proposals
Prepare reports and briefing notes for decision-making




Develop and improve governance frameworks and practices
Facilitate communication with community leaders and citizens Requirements:
3–5 years’ experience in governance or administration
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
Robust organizational and communication abilities
Experience working with First Nations communities
Knowledge of Haida governance systems and Indigenous rights Foster a team-oriented environment that supports Haida sovereignty and cultural heritage through effective governance.
