Whisk Matcha Café is a locally owned, plant-based matcha café and bakery located in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Barista to join our team.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced café setting, take pride in delivering excellent customer service, and have an appreciation for quality food and beverages, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
Prepare matcha beverages, espresso drinks, and other café beverages
Texture milk and create basic latte art
Greet customers and provide friendly, effective service
Operate the POS system and process customer orders
Prepare simple food items and bakery products
Package and label retail products
Assist with opening and closing duties
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café
Work collaboratively with the team during busy service periods

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of barista experience
Experience steaming milk and preparing espresso beverages
Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual,



and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Able to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift and perform routine lifting and carrying associated with café operations
Availability to work weekends is required

Have an interest in matcha is an asset, but full training on our products and preparation methods will be provided.
