Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook in a special care home. The candidate will cook for approximately 50 residents This role involves providing exceptional food service, preparing meals, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in food handling, cooking, and restaurant operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items
Handle food safely by adhering to proper hygiene and sanitation protocols
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, plating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to ensure compliance




Support team members in daily operations to ensure smooth service flow
Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management

Requirements
Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Robust serving skills with excellent customer service abilities
Ability to handle food safely and maintain high hygiene standards
Experience with food handling and meal preparation in the food industry
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
A positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and a passion for delivering quality food service

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
