We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents and guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure effective service during peak hours.
Help train current kitchen staff in food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service or healthcare industry.
Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy tastes.
Food Handler's Certificate (Required)
