Company Description Syncra AI Inc. is building an adaptive productivity platform designed specifically for neurodivergent specialists. Our core innovations include the Task Fluidity Engine, which dynamically reprioritizes tasks based on real time mood and energy signals, and Calm Corner, an embedded emotional regulation module. Syncra is built on a privacy by architecture approach, meaning user data stays on the user’s device rather than being centralized.

As a growing startup preparing for our seed funding round, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist who can help us build security into the foundation of our platform from the ground up. This is an prospect to shape the security posture of an AI product at an early and formative stage.

Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Cybersecurity Specialist supporting Syncra AI Technologies. The specialist will monitor, assess, and improve the security posture of our AI applications, infrastructure, and networks, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies appropriate for an early stage company.

Responsibilities include performing security reviews and assessments, configuring and maintaining security tools, responding to security incidents,



and collaborating with our technical team to implement secure architectures and practices, particularly around our privacy by architecture model. The role also involves developing and maintaining security documentation, supporting compliance efforts as we prepare for investor due diligence, and staying current with emerging threats, frameworks, and technologies relevant to AI and cloud based environments. This is a fractional or part time engagement, with scope and hours to be discussed based on experience and availability.

Qualifications

Mandatory
Deep working knowledge of PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA
Experience auditing architecture for sensitive health or behavioral data applications
Solid understanding of on-device security and encryption standards, including AES-256 and TLS 1.3
Demonstrated experience establishing security protocols and governance before production code is written
Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience, with a focus on data privacy and compliance Assets:
CISSP certification
SOC 2 Type II familiarity
Prior work with consumer health, wellness, or behavioral applications
Experience supervising or leading a security function, rather than only executing within one
