Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join our childcare centre team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals for children and takes pride in maintaining a secure and clean kitchen environment.
Contract position (with potential for extension)
Monday to Friday
Start date: ASAP

Duties
Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks in accordance with childcare nutrition guidelines
Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen setting
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices
Manage inventory, grocery ordering, and kitchen supplies
Comply with all public health and licensing regulations

Qualifications




Previous cooking experience (experience in a childcare or institutional setting is an asset)
Food Handler Certification (required)
Knowledge of children’s nutrition and dietary needs
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently
Transparent Vulnerable Sector Check
First Aid and CPR Certificate
