As an Apprentice Renovator, you will work under the guidance of a Renovator or Lead Renovator, performing various duties on residential and commercial work sites. You will collaborate with a team of skilled tradespeople to carry out tasks related to the construction and maintenance of buildings.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and company vehicles under the direction of management.
Assist with residential construction tasks including framing, drywalling, flooring, tiling, trim & door installation, cabinetry, painting, and window/door installations.
Assist in the demolition process and site clean-up activities.
The ability to independently manage small projects and tasks without direct supervision, while overseeing assistance in areas such as demolition, framing, drywall, tiling, and more.
Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
Mix, pour, and handle a variety of materials, including hazardous solutions.
Perform landscaping tasks such as removing, filling, or compacting soil, stone, and other materials.
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
Assist Lead Renovators, Renovators, Site Foremen,
and other skilled specialists.
Maintain a secure and organized job site, ensuring proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment when not in use.
Participate in on-the-job training as required to develop new skills.
Requirements
Have access to a car for work-related duties
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
Ability to lift and carry weight up to 66 pounds
Ability to work in all weather environments
Be at least 16 years of age and a Canadian citizen.
Have CSA approved steel-toe safety footwear, eye protection & hard hat.
Fall Arrest certification
WHMIS certification
Previous experience is not required, though construction industry experience considered an asset.
Expectations:
Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Arrive at work on time and remain until essential tasks are completed.
Follow health and safety guidelines and report any incidents to management immediately.
Take initiative to complete tasks without direct supervision when required.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
