Automation Lead (Banking Domain)

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: Up to $110,000 CAD

Talend Grid is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Automation Lead to join their technology team in Toronto. This is an excellent chance for a skilled automation testing professional with robust experience in the banking or financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
Lead automation testing activities for enterprise applications.
Perform automation testing for web and mobile applications (iOS & Android).
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Execute mobile testing using Appium, Espresso, or similar tools.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure complete test coverage.
Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Review test results and drive continuous quality improvements.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Automation Testing.




Solid hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
Experience designing and maintaining automation testing frameworks.
Experience with Appium, Espresso, or other mobile automation tools.
Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience using JIRA for defect management.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of the Banking/Financial Services domain.
Solid communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred
API testing experience.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Leadership or mentoring experience is an asset.
