This job oppurtunity is to cover for an employee going on a 6 week sick leave.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our agile dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring that all materials are stocked and organized.




Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients when required.

Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in orthodontics being a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
Experience working with children in a pediatric setting is an advantage.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
