Drive forward fusion energy solutions as a Cryogenic Engineer with Type One Energy. Utilize your expertise in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics to design and validate cryogenic systems. This permanent, full time position reports to the Director of Thermofluids Engineering.
You will play a vital role in designing cryogenic systems for superconducting magnets within our stellarator program. Ideal candidates will showcase analytical capabilities and thrive in a collaborative R&D; workplace. Key Responsibilities:
Perform thermodynamic calculations on cryogenic systems
Conduct numerical modeling and analysis of cryogenic behavior
Support design and integration of cryogenic hardware
Develop thermal/fluid models to guide design decisions
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to ensure compatibility
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Cryogenic Engineering
Experience in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
Proficient in analysis tools like ANSYS and COMSOL
Knowledge of cryogenic design principles
Solid problem-solving and communication skills
