We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Foreman to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with concrete-related tasks on various construction projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, GPS systems, and site safety protocols.
Prior supervising experience and familiarity with construction management software are a plus, as the role may involve coordinating with project managers and overseeing aspects of the worksite.
Duties
Assist in preparing and setting up forms, reinforcement, and other materials for concrete pouring
Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to project specifications
Operate tools and equipment related to concrete work, ensuring proper maintenance and safety
Follow blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately
Conduct quality control checks to ensure concrete work meets industry standards
Support supervising staff in managing daily operations on-site
Assist with site cleanup and organization to maintain a safe working setting
Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and adhere to budget constraints using construction management software when necessary
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction, specifically with concrete work or related trades
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
Familiarity with GPS and gradiing
Supervising experience in a construction setting is preferred
Strong understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations on construction sites
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Relevant certifications or training in construction safety are advantageous
