We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Decedent Transfer Specialist to manage the respectful and productive transfer of deceased individuals’ remains. In this vital role, you will ensure proper documentation, and uphold the highest standards of compassion and professionalism. Your efforts will help families find closure during difficult times while maintaining compliance with all legal and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles to transfer decedents between facilities, funeral homes, or other designated locations
Assist with heavy lifting and secure transportation of remains, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
Maintain accurate records of transfers, including documentation of chain of custody and transfer logs
Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of biohazard materials and use of personal protective equipment
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and cleanliness for each transfer
Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating empathy, professionalism,



and clear communication throughout the process

Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean criminal record
Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in sensitive situations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with families, team members, and external partners
Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and handling of human remains is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and compassion at all times
