Overview

We are seeking a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our growing private practice on a casual, part time basis. This role offers flexible schedule and a mix of virtual and in-home visits, with a primary focus on supporting pediatric clients and their families.

Our practice is family- and client-centred, and we place a strong value on building meaningful connections with the children and families we work with. We are looking for someone who is warm, collaborative, organized, and passionate about supporting communication development in a way that is functional, engaging, and individualized.

The CDA will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to support the implementation of therapy goals and programs for pediatric clients. Services may be provided virtually and/or in clients’ homes, depending on family needs and scheduling.

Responsibilities
Provide speech and language intervention under the supervision of an SLP
Support pediatric clients with communication, language, speech, and early literacy goals
Prepare therapy materials and set up equipment needed for sessions
Implement individualized therapy plans and home practice recommendations
Deliver services in a manner that is engaging, play-based, and tailored to each child’s needs




Collaborate with families and caregivers to support carryover and progress
Maintain clinical notes, documentation, and communication in compliance with healthcare regulations
Participate in team communication and follow direction from supervising SLP

Experience
Graduate of a Communicative Disorders Assistant program or equivalent training
Previous experience working with pediatric clients is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and families
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team and follow detailed instructions
Comfortable providing both virtual and in-home services
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently while collaborating with a supervising clinician
Valid driver’s licence required

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
