Based in Ontario, this role supports a rapidly growing region delivering some of the country’s most technically demanding and high‑profile building projects.Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to SiteLead the Design Management Function: Provide strategic direction, set expectations, and oversee the entire design process in all phases from project pursuit through to successful project delivery.Drive Cross‑Functional Leadership: Serve as a key bridge between design, construction, consultants, and project stakeholders.Interface with in‑house teams (Construction Execution, MEIT, Estimating, BIM / VDC Quality, HSE, Scheduling, Risk Management, Commercial, Project Management).Build, develop & mentor a high‑performing team.Technical coordination & constructability: Navigate complex project requirements, identify and address design challenges early,
ensure information is construction‑ready.Primary client‑facing leader for all design‑related matters.Maintain quality, standards & governance: Champion document quality, oversee design reviews & audits, ensure technical compliance.Strategic decision‑making: Provide insight and leadership on risk management, sequencing, cost efficiency, and design impacts.The Right Tools for the JobEducation & Credentials:Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related discipline preferred; LEED, PMP or P.Eng. designations are solid assets.Experience:10+ years in construction management, design management or project delivery, demonstrated leadership on complex, technical building projects.Leadership & Management Strengths:Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, drive performance; coaching and influencing across disciplines; strong communication skills.CompensationSalary range $135,000 to $175,000 per annum.Compensation aligned to education and experience.Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience.Flexible, comprehensive Health & Dental benefits plan.We’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to an inclusive, accessible workplace.
