(This is a remote two / two rotational shift. 14 days on 14 days off outsourced from Edmonton Alberta)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. This role involves performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance across various building systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge.

This position offers an excellent chance for individuals with experience in remote camp settings and a passion for maintaining high standards of building operations.

Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components to identify issues early.
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment utilizing schematics and technical manuals.
Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain automation systems.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.




Collaborate with facilities management to plan upgrades or renovations that improve building efficiency and safety.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.

Skills
Ideal candidate to poses Power Engineering ticket.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
Able to troubleshoot equipment failures effectively and source replacement parts.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to work both indoor / outdoor.
Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
Experience using CMMS software for maintenance management.
Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices.
Excellent communication skills in English for explicit reporting and team coordination.
Ability to work independently.
Customer service orientation to ensure internal stakeholders’ needs are met efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining a secure, efficient, and well-functioning facility environment through expert technical skills combined with leadership capabilities.
