We seek a Corporate Legal Counsel specializing in securities law and regulatory compliance in a rapid-paced fintech setting. As our recent Corporate Legal Counsel, you will focus on compliance, public policy, and securities matters related to cryptocurrency businesses.
This role requires at least five years of experience and a keen understanding of Canadian securities regulations. Collaborating with compliance, product, and executive teams, you will help ensure that Ndax meets all legal obligations. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and interpret laws affecting the cryptocurrency sector
Develop policies in line with evolving regulations
Analyze cryptocurrency assets for compliance with securities laws
Support compliance with client complaints and legal proceedings
Negotiate corporate contracts and service agreements
Requirements:
Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) from recognized institution
Minimum of 5 years in securities law or regulatory compliance
Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills
Excellent communication to engage non-legal stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of Canadian securities regulations
